Tourism Labor Market and the Attainment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals: Pending Challenges, Ongoing Opportunities and More Responsible and Inclusive Scientific Research for the Advancement of the Tourism Industry

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Concerning human resources, research in the tourism sector has traditionally focused on a personnel‐managerial perspective rather than a labor market‐condition analysis per se, limiting the examination of its unique working ecosystem and distinct socioeconomic particularities. This has evidenced an apparent thematic research gap in the tourism

Flashover Features in Aircraft Cargo Compartment at Low Pressure

open access: yesFire
The flashover mechanism in an aircraft cargo compartment under low pressure was investigated in this study. A series of fire experiments were conducted in a scale model of a one-quarter volume FAA standard aircraft cargo compartment at 96 kPa and 60 kPa.

Civil aircraft advanced avionics architectures - an insight into saras avionics, present and future perspective [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Traditionally, the avionics architectures being implemented are of federated nature, which means that each avionics function has its own independent, dedicated fault-tolerant computing resources.

Task co‐use and product improvement: An organization design perspective

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary Co‐using tasks—using the same task to produce more than one product—promises economies of scope. However, task co‐use also ties products together, changing a firm's task network by introducing cross‐product interdependencies. In light of these interdependencies, we identify an unrecognized downside of task co‐use for product ...

Beyond the Hype: Decoding Bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide Chemistry in Advanced Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Electrolytes dictate lithium–sulfur battery performance. In localized high‐concentration systems, lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (LiFSI) and lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide play distinct roles. High LiFSI content improves lithium protection and interphase stability but also drives side reactions with polysulfides.
