Does AI at Work Increase Stress? Text Mining Social Media About Human–AI Team Processes and AI Control

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With rising use of artificial intelligence (AI) in organizations, alongside increasing mental health issues, we seek to understand how AI use affects human stress. Drawing on the automation–augmentation perspective, we propose that AI control over decision‐making thwarts human autonomy and thus contributes to stress.

Experimental Study on the Effects of Oxygen Concentration and Thermal Radiation on the Combustion Characteristics of Wood Plastic Composites at Low Pressure

open access: yesFire
The use of artificial oxygenation to counteract the effects of hypoxia and improve living standards in high-altitude, low-oxygen settings is widespread. A recognized consequence of this intervention is that it elevates the risk of fire occurrence.

Bio‐Based Epoxy Resins from Estragole: Achieving High Glass Transition Temperatures Comparable to DGEBA and Simultaneously Low Viscosities

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Two novel bio‐based epoxy monomers, diglycidyl‐4‐allylphenol (DG‐4A) and triglycidyl‐diallylphenol (TG‐DA), derived from estragole (92% and 72% bio‐content), were synthesized and cured with isophorone diamin (IPDA) and 4,4´‐diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS). The resins show high Tgs, with DG‐4A reaching and TG‐DA exceeding DGEBA‐based systems. These resins

A multi-element flame retardant containing boron and double-bond structure for enhancing mechanical properties and flame retardancy of epoxy resins

open access: yesScientific Reports
A multi-element synergistic flame retardant with double-bond structure was synthesized and added to epoxy resin (EP) to obtain EP composites with high flame retardant and mechanical properties.

Research on Minimum Ignition Energy Testing of Normal-Alkane Vapors

open access: yesFire
Minimum Ignition Energy (MIE) is a critical parameter for assessing the combustion and explosion risks of liquid fuels under specific conditions. However, systematic testing methods for long-chain alkanes remain underdeveloped.

Robustness Assessment of Public Transport Networks in Various Graph Representations: Systematic Review, Decision Support, and Case Study

open access: yesNetworks, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The analysis of certain properties of the underlying graph of a public transport network generates insights about the network's structure. Hereby, the choice of the graph representation depends on a trade‐off between complexity reduction and information preservation to adequately model a public transport network.

Microphysical chemistry of fog–aerosol interactions over the northwest Atlantic Ocean during Fatima 2022

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
Fifteen size‐resolved aerosol samples collected during marine fog, with adjacent ambient observations, show that coarse sea salt aerosol is rapidly grown and lost in the northwest North Atlantic Ocean except when subject to extreme winds. The persistence of fog in the absence of sea salt is determined by available fine‐mode aerosol, where greater ...

Research on the characteristic parameters of fire in the cargo hold of aircraft in the presence of combustible materials and an ignition source state

open access: yesHangkong gongcheng jinzhan
At present, the civilian aircraft cargo hold is mainly used photoelectric smoke detector as a fire smoke identification, due to the other interference particles(dust, or water vapor, etc)will be suspended in the aircraft cargo hold, which will trigger ...
