Newcastle disease (ND) is a highly fatal, infectious, viral disease, and despite immunization with live and inactivated vaccines, the disease is still endemic, causing heavy morbidity and mortality leading to huge economic losses to the poultry industry in Pakistan. Therefore, the present study was aimed for the first time in the country at using novel

This study isolated NDV from an outbreak in North Baghdad, Iraq. The isolate was noted as velogenic by clinical experiment. Reverse transcriptase‐polymerase chain reaction (RT‐PCR) targeting the partial fusion‐protein gene of NDV genome, confirmed the virus.

Newcastle disease (ND) causes significant economic losses in the poultry industry in developing countries. In Kenya, despite rampant annual ND outbreaks, implementation of control strategies is hampered by a lack of adequate knowledge on the circulating and outbreak causing‐NDV strains. This study reports the first complete genome sequences of NDV from

This article explores combining Newcastle disease virus (NDV) with chemotherapy for treating breast cancer. Results show promising effects, including tumor suppression and improved patient prognosis without harming healthy tissues. The study suggests that NDV combined with chemotherapy could be a valuable treatment option, highlighting its potential ...

In this study, we showed that the GD NDV strain replicated more efficiently in most chicken tissues than the F48E9 strain. The higher levels of virus replication of the GD strain may be associated with a stronger innate immune response compared with the F48E9 strain. Abstract Newcastle disease, caused by virulent strain of Newcastle disease virus (NDV),

Despite the administration of multiple doses of the Newcastle disease virus (NDV) vaccine, a high mortality rate (20%–40%) due to NDV was observed in the southern region of Pakistan. In the current study, clinical samples were obtained from affected areas with NDV infection.

Avian influenza overview November 2018 – February 2019
No human infections due to highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) A(H5N8) or A(H5N6) viruses ‐ detected in wild birds and poultry outbreaks in Europe ‐ have been reported so far and the risk of zoonotic transmission to the general public in Europe is considered very low.

A recombinant NDV virus co‐expressing IL15 and IL7 was generated. Tumor cells modified with this recombinant virus exhibited much strong antitumor responses both in vitro and in vivo. Interleukin 15 (IL15) and IL7 are two cytokines essential for T cell development and homeostasis.

Village poultry plays a vital role in providing essential nutrition and income for rural communities in Africa. In this context, poultry are often traded through live bird markets (LBMs), which serve as central trading hubs where producers connect with traders and consumers, facilitating the flow of poultry products along the value chain.
