Complete avulsion of the scalp
British Journal of Plastic Surgery, 1952Summary 1.Treatment and its results in a series of twenty-four cases of complete avulsion of the scalp are reported. 2.The inadvisability of replacing the avulsed scalp, either as a whole or thinned down to a full-thickness graft, is emphasised. Avulsion Fractures of the Patella
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 1990Forty-seven skeletally immature patients with marginal fractures of the patella were evaluated. We showed that avulsion fractures may affect the superior, inferior, and medial margins of the patella, separating through the subchondral bone along the biomechanically susceptible margin of progressive chondroosseous transformation and expansion of the ...

American Journal of Roentgenology, 1977
Chest injuries have become more common due to the increasing number of motor vehicle accidents. In such cases, it is necessary to exclude serious underlying visceral damage. When the lung is injured, minor lacerations heal spontaneously, while more severe injury produces persistent collapse and leakage of air and blood into the pleural cavity.

Avulsion fractures of the scapula
Skeletal Radiology, 1982Fractures of the scapula due to direct violence are relatively common. Wilber and Evans [18] reported 40 scapular fractures and reviewed the literature. All those injured had received direct trauma to the shoulder and they were able to divide their cases into two groups, based on anatomical location and functional results.
