Chest injuries have become more common due to the increasing number of motor vehicle accidents. In such cases, it is necessary to exclude serious underlying visceral damage. When the lung is injured, minor lacerations heal spontaneously, while more severe injury produces persistent collapse and leakage of air and blood into the pleural cavity.

Avulsion of the Triceps Tendon
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1981Avulsion of the triceps tendon should be suspected in patients who have pain about the elbow following a deceleration stress to the upper extremity. In three cases, the avulsion occurred both with or without a concomitant blow to the posterior aspect of the arm.

The Segond Fracture Is an Avulsion of the Anterolateral Complex
American Journal of Sports Medicine, 2017Background: The Segond fracture was classically described as an avulsion fracture of the anterolateral capsule of the knee. Recently, some authors have attributed its pathogenesis to the “anterolateral ligament” (ALL).

AVULSION OF THE TRICEPS TENDON
The Journal of Trauma: Injury, Infection, and Critical Care, 1975Two cases of the rare injury of avulsion of the triceps tendon are presented. The difficulties in clinical diagnosis and proper evaluation of the roentgenographic findings whenever present are discussed and the treatment is outlined.

Abstract In cases of severe trauma in children, demonstration of infact ureters during the evaluation of the urinary tract is mandatory. Early diagnosis and treatment of ureteral avulsion will produce good functional recovery whereas delays can cause complications such as retraction of the ureter, abscess, fibrosis, and chronic fistula formation ...

Abstract 1. 1. A case of avulsion of the scalp is presented. 2. 2. Adequate granulation tissue is obtained by boring multiple holes in the outer table of the skull in avulsion of the scalp with destruction of the pericranium.

Avulsion of the tibial tubercle is not common. Sixteen cases are recorded, with a mean age of 15 years 2 months. All subjects were boys, 15 cases were left-sided, and three individuals had other associated knee injuries. All were treated operatively. Immobilization time averaged 4.9 weeks, with a mean follow-up of 15 months.

Avulsion of the Popliteus Tendon
Journal of Pediatric orthopaedics, 1991Isolated avulsion of the popliteus tendon occurred in a 13-year-old patient who stepped awkwardly from a bus. This report of injury is of special interest because the forces are easy to interpret and reflect the expected mechanism of injury to the popliteus muscle-tendon complex.
