Polar Coded HARQ Scheme with Chase Combining
A hybrid automatic repeat request scheme with Chase combing (HARQ-CC) of polar codes is proposed. The existing analysis tools of the underlying rate-compatible punctured polar (RCPP) codes for additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels are extended to

Experimental Demonstration of Geometrically-Shaped Constellations Tailored to the Nonlinear Fibre Channel [PDF]
A geometrically-shaped 256-QAM constellation, tailored to the nonlinear optical fibre channel, is experimentally demonstrated. The proposed constellation outperforms both uniform and AWGN-tailored 256-QAM, as it is designed to optimise the trade-off ...

Hyperspectral Unmixing with Bandwise Generalized Bilinear Model
Generalized bilinear model (GBM) has received extensive attention in the field of hyperspectral nonlinear unmixing. Traditional GBM unmixing methods are usually assumed to be degraded only by additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), and the intensity of ...

Analysis of cubic permutation polynomials for turbo codes
Quadratic permutation polynomials (QPPs) have been widely studied and used as interleavers in turbo codes. However, less attention has been given to cubic permutation polynomials (CPPs).

Sparse Regression Codes for Multi-terminal Source and Channel Coding [PDF]
We study a new class of codes for Gaussian multi-terminal source and channel coding. These codes are designed using the statistical framework of high-dimensional linear regression and are called Sparse Superposition or Sparse Regression codes.

This article proposes a deep learning (DL) approach for modeling and optimizing frequency‐doubled radio‐over‐fiber links. By collectively replacing traditional components with DL model, accurate system evaluation is achieved. Moreover, through an end‐to‐end architecture, performance optimization is accomplished.
