1. This report defines the indications, and describes in detail a technique for atlanto-axial arthrodesis. Open reduction, with wire fixation and bone grafting, achieves the objective of immediate stabilisation of an unstable C. 1-2 articulation. 2. The method is illustrated by fifteen consecutive patients who had atlanto-axial arthrodesis.

Intra-axial/Extra-axial Brain Tumors
2020Brain tumors can be intra-axial or extra-axial. The intra-axial tumors are located within brain parenchyma and arise from the brain cells, while the extra-axial tumors are located outside brain parenchyma and arise from structures lining the brain or surrounding it. The intraventricular tumors are located in the ventricles.
