We introduce a capillary‐filtering‐based particle‐filling (CFPF) process that simultaneously forms vertical thermal pathways and electrical vias within µ‐pores. In situ microfluidic analysis reveals that capillary‐driven velocity gradients generate vorticity that governs µ‐platelet rotation and vertical alignment.

Application of Ibuprofen Sodium Dihydrate for Thermochemical Energy Storage
Ibuprofen sodium dihydrate is introduced as a durable organic salt hydrate for low‐temperature thermochemical energy storage, operating within 60°C–110°C with high energy density. At the material level, it delivers ∼99.9% cycling efficiency over 150 cycles without deliquescence, enabled by a dual energy‐storage mechanism coupling dehydration and phase ...

This work explores the possibility to design stable periodic magnetization textures by transforming a 2D film into a rolled‐up 3D architecture and back. In case of an isotropic exchange‐biased layer architecture, the magnetization encoded in the 3D state evolves into a spin‐spiral pattern with controlled periodicity after unrolling.

Reduced Graphene Oxide Transparent Electrodes Enabling Compact Soft Tunable Lenses
By spray‐coating an elastomeric membrane with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) at various surface densities, elastomeric actuators are manufactured. Electro‐mechano‐optical characterizations show the suitability of rGO as an effective material for compliant, semi‐transparent electrodes, enabling soft electrically tunable lenses with a compact form factor ...

Visualization of bed compression in an axial compression liquid chromatography column
Journal of Chromatography A, 2002The consolidation of a packed bed undergoing axial compression was studied in glass columns using an on-column visualization process. In this visualization process the refractive indices of the mobile phase (carbon tetrachloride) and the stationary phase (YMC C18 silica) matched perfectly, hence the otherwise opaque stationary phase became transparent ...

Abstract The beneficial effects of work hardening have been long known to, and appreciated by, the steel industry and have been accepted as a step in the same direction as heat treatment. Because of the obvious difficulty with buckling, however, so far only the tension mode and the transverse compression mode have been commonly used (e.g.
