Relationship Between Anterior Chamber Depth, Refractive State, Corneal Diameter, and Axial Length

Journal of Refractive Surgery, 2000
ABSTRACT PURPOSE: Phakic intraocular lenses are being used increasingly to correct refractive errors. We studied the relationship between anterior chamber depth, refractive state of the eye, spherical equivalent refraction, axial length of the globe, corneal diameter, and keratometry. METHODS: Two hundred eleven eyes of 211 patients

Corneal diameter and axial length in congenital glaucoma.

Canadian journal of ophthalmology. Journal canadien d'ophtalmologie, 1985
The corneal diameter was recorded and the ocular axial length measured by A-scan ultrasonography in 31 eyes of 17 children (ages 0.05 to 7.0 years) who had undergone or were about to undergo surgery for primary congenital glaucoma. These measurements were also done in 60 normal eyes of 33 children (ages 0.20 to 9.6 years) undergoing nonophthalmic ...

Hybrid Rockets with Axial Injector: Port Diameter Effect on Fuel Regression Rate

Journal of Propulsion and Power, 2016
A numerical rebuilding of a series of test data obtained with static firings of a lab-scale hybrid rocket is carried out with a Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes solver including detailed gas–surface interaction modeling based on surface mass and energy balances.

Axial and Radial Dispersion in a Large‐Diameter Bubble Column Reactor at Low Height‐to‐Diameter Ratios

Chemie Ingenieur Technik, 2015
AbstractExperiments are conducted in a bubble column reactor with inner diameter of 970 mm at atmospheric pressure with an air/water system at height‐to‐diameter ratios of 1 and below. Axial and radial dispersion coefficients are measured using a tracer, which is detected by conductivity probes. An analytical mathematical model for the determination of

Axial rupture of large-diameter, gas-pressurised, steel pipes

International Journal of Pressure Vessels and Piping, 1985
Abstract As part of an experimental programme to characterise the internal and external fluid dynamic forces generated by failure of high-pressure pipework, the development of an axial breach in large gas-pressurised steel pipes has been studied.

Axial mixing in a 15 cm diameter reciprocating plate bubble column

The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, 1998
AbstractAxial dispersion coefficients (E) in the liquid phase have been measured by unsteady tracer response methods in a 15 cm internal diameter reciprocating plate bubble column, using air and water in countercurrent and cocurrent flow. The operating variables studied were amplitude (0.6–1.27 cm) and frequency (0–5 Hz) of reciprocation, and the ...

Development of the Axial Splitting Process for Small Diameter Brass Tubes

Materials Science Forum, 2016
We developed the equipment for splitting the long and small diameter tube, with using a splitting tool which was previously developed [1]. The splitting target is brass tube. Its length is about 500mm and the diameter is about 19mm. Because of the high aspect ratio, it is considered to cause a buckling easily.

Hydrodynamic performance of multiple co-axial heave plates with different diameters

Ships and Offshore Structures, 2019
Heave plates are structural components of a floating structure whose primary purpose is to increase damping and added mass in heave or pitch direction.

Relation between axial compressive strength of reinforcing fibres and fibre diameter

Journal of Materials Science, 1996
Attempts were made to estimate the fibre axial compressive strength of pitch-based graphitized and polyarylate fibres, and the relationship between the compressive strength and fibre diameter was investigated. The estimated compressive strength of fibres decreases with increasing temperature.

Axially aligned 3D nanofibrous grafts of PLA–PCL for small diameter cardiovascular applications

Journal of Biomaterials Science, Polymer Edition, 2014
Axially aligned nanofibrous matrices were evaluated as small diameter cardiovascular grafts. Grafts were prepared using the poly(L-lactic acid) (PLA) and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) physical blends in the ratios of 75:25 and 25:75 with the dimension of (40 × 0.2 × 4) millimeter by electrospinning using dynamic collector (1500 RPM).
