Small-Sample Fault Diagnosis of Axial Piston Pumps across Working Conditions, Based on 1D-SENet Model Migration

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Hydraulic pumps are the core components that provide power for hydraulic transmission systems, which are widely used in aerospace, marine engineering, and mechanical engineering, and their failure affects the normal operation of the entire system.

Three‐dimensional geometric morphometric analysis of diaphragmatic dome motion in COPD patients

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Diaphragmatic dysfunction is a hallmark of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), especially in emphysema, where hyperinflation alters diaphragm geometry and impairs inspiratory mechanics. However, quantitative three‐dimensional (3D) assessments of diaphragmatic dome shape and motion across COPD phenotypes are limited.

Fully superconducting rectifiers and fluxpumps Part 1: Realized methods for pumping flux [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
The magnetic and electrical properties of superconductors were a challenge for many inventors and designers to use superconducting materials in the construction of fully superconducting voltage and current sources commonly called fluxpumps.

High‐Temperature Heat Pump Test Bench with n‐Butane (R‐600) Generating Steam

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
This work involves building a test bench for a high‐temperature heat pump (HTHP) and analyzing the measurements. The focus is on steam generation using an HTHP to decarbonize process steam demand. The findings indicate that stable steam generation is possible, providing a higher heat transfer coefficient in the heat pump's condenser.

A computational model of axial piston swashplate pumps

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2017
Abstract Variable displacement hydraulic machines offer a very promising alternative and energy saving solution for many applications in mobile machines, mobile robots and other applications. In the present paper an axial piston swashplate pump will be theoretically analyzed and explained using the software AMESim in order to estimate the piston ...

A Numerical Study on Influence of Temperature on Lubricant Film Characteristics of the Piston/Cylinder Interface in Axial Piston Pumps

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
The loss of kinetic energy of moving parts due to viscous friction of lubricant causes the reduction of piston pump efficiency. The viscosity of lubricant film is mainly affected by the thermal effect. In order to improve energy efficiency of piston pump,

Development of a Vibration-Based Health Monitoring Procedure using a Virtual Axial Piston Pump [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Monitoring vibration signatures produced by axial piston pumps can provide insight into changes of the pump system, which may then be associated with early signs of mechanical or hydraulic component failures.

The damage and failure mechanism of prestatically loaded rock during medium‐strain rate cyclic impact loading

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Based on experimental results and theoretical analysis, an established rock damage accumulation model that comprehensively considers the preapplied static load, impact peak value, impact frequency, and impact times. Abstract To study the rock damage mechanism under high static loading and superimposed medium strain rate cyclic impact loading, a series ...
