ABSTRACT Axiorygmanethertoni is described from material collected in about 30 m of water off the Key Largo area of the Florida Keys, and from 52-58 m in the Gulf of Mexico off the west coast of Florida. The genus is characterized by the possession of sexually dimorphic chelipeds, and by the absence of an appendix masculina in the male.

Axiopsis caespitosa (Thalassinidea, Axiidae), a new species from the Pacific coast of Colombia
Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1979Axiopsis (Axiopsis) caespitosa is a new species of the Axiidae from the Pacific coast of Colombia, South America. It has a carina on the carapace behind the cervical groove but is typically axiopsid. One specimen, the female holotype, was trawled in 90 m and is deposited in the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.

TWO SYMPATRIC SPECIES OF AXIUS FROM THE NORTH-WEST ATLANTIC (DECAPODA, THALASSINIDEA, AXIIDAE)
Crustaceana, 2001Axius serratus Stimpson, 1852, is redescribed and illustrated, and its distribution based on 54 records of 68 specimens is recorded. The sympatric, and rarely recorded Axius armatus Smith, 1881, is redescribed and illustrated for the first time, based on six female specimens from five separate records.

Journal of Natural History, 1994The genus Coralaxius is rediagnosed, and the type species C. nodulosus (Meinert, 1877), the holotype of which was found to be identical with C. abelei Kensley and Gore, 1982, is redescribed. The two new species of Coralaxius are described, viz. C. galapagensis from the Galapagos Islands, and C. indopacificus from Fiji and the Comoro Islands.

Only one of these species belongs to the genus Acan thaxius Sakai & De Saint Laurent, 1989 (cf. Hendrickx, 1995a), although a second species, A. spinulicauda (Rathbun, 1902) is known from British Columbia and Cal ifornia.
