Clinicopathological Correlation of Axillary Masses – Importance of Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology as a Diagnostic Modality

open access: yesJournal of Medical Sciences and Health, 2017
Introduction: The axilla, a triangular area located between the upper arm and thorax, contains blood vessels, nerves, lymph nodes, and fat. The most common palpable axillary masses are usually lymph nodes.

A Closed‐Loop Hybrid Discovery System of Type I Photosensitizers for Hypoxic Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The work developed a closed‐loop hybrid discovery system to rationally design and predict high‐performance Type I PSs for hypoxic tumor therapy. 664 Potential candidates are identified from a dataset through a support vector machine (SVM) classification model, and two candidates are experimentally verified as Type I PSs, which highlighted the potential

Management of the Axilla in the Era of Breast Cancer Heterogeneity

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2018
Systemic cancer therapies take into account breast cancer (BC) heterogeneity by targeting pathways specifically involved in some BC subtypes. On the other hand, BC intrinsic radiosensitivity is poorly understood and studied.

Multifunctional Nano Immunostimulant: Overcoming Immunosuppressive Microenvironment for Antitumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional nano immunostimulant is first proposed for efficient tumor immunotherapy. The ER targeted ability, superior ROS production, efficient GSH consumption, coupled with the HIF suppression, jointly arouses ICD/ferroptosis pathways to realize efficient tumor immunotherapy.

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Reveals PIK3CA Inhibition Enhances Lipid Nanoparticle‐Mediated siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide CRISPR screen and identifies PIK3CA as a key regulator of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) uptake is performed. Modulating PIK3CA with small‐molecule inhibitor BAY1082439 enhanced LNP uptake, siRNA delivery, and gene silencing in a variety of epithelial cells, and improved therapeutic outcomes in vivo.

Nanoparticle‐Based Tolerogenic Vaccines: Next‐Generation Strategies for Autoimmune and Allergic Disease Therapies

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Nanoparticle‐based tolerogenic vaccines harness controlled antigen delivery and immunomodulation to establish tolerance in autoimmunity and allergy. This review outlines how nanoparticle design (size, shape, composition, administration route) influences biodistribution and immune‐cell targeting.
