This study showcases how advanced interlayers combined with PH1000 anodes on flexible PET substrates transform the performance of self‐powered organic photodetectors (OPDs). The developed self‐powered flexible OPDs with their excellent mechanical durability, high responsivity, and specific detectivity demonstrate accurate heart rate monitoring in ...

Following a suggestion of Brouwer an axiomatic definition of wisdom is proposed. I. In order to isolate the axioms of wisdom we have to separate wisdom from religion and from philosophy. This follows from the fact that wisdom provides a measure by means of which we can classify a religious doctrine as expressing wisdom, respectively unwisdom.

Robots can learn manipulation tasks from human demonstrations. This work proposes a versatile method to identify the physical interactions that occur in a demonstration, such as sequences of different contacts and interactions with mechanical constraints.

Quantifying growth perturbations over the fattening period in swine via mathematical modelling
Background: Resilience can be defined as the capacity of animals to cope with short-term perturbations in their environment and return rapidly to their pre-challenge status. In a perspective of precision livestock farming, it is key to create informative

A Perspective on Interactive Theorem Provers in Physics
Into an interactive theorem provers (ITPs), one can write mathematical definitions, theorems and proofs, and the correctness of those results is automatically checked. This perspective goes over the best usage of ITPs within physics and motivates the open‐source community run project PhysLean, the aim of which is to be a library for digitalized physics

Effect of risk and incentives on contracts: The case of farm operators in Iowa
Abstract Longitudinal data on Iowa landowner–operator contracts are used to examine how the mean, variance, and skewness of expected farmland returns affected contract terms from 2008 to 2019. To control for unobserved operator risk preferences and ability as a fixed effect, the sample includes operators with multiple contracts.

Abstract The term semantic primitives refers to a set of basic, atomic concepts from which all other (compound) concepts are constructed. It presupposes the principle of compositionality—the idea that complex items or expressions can be formed by combining simpler constituents.

The first catalytic and metal‐free enantioselective synthesis of (–)‐arnottin II is reported. A one‐pot hydrolysis/oxidative spirolactonization sequence, catalyzed by a chiral hypervalent iodine(I/III) complex under phosphate‐buffered conditions, establishes efficient control of the unstable biaryl hydroxy carboxylic acid (BHCA) intermediate, to afford

Baumgartner introduced the class of partial orderings for Axiom A which includes c.c.c. p.o. sets, ω 1 -closed p.o. sets and various notions of forcing which add new subsets of ω. If partial orderings which satisfy Axiom A are iterated under countable support, then the iteration, regardless of its length, satisfies a certain covering property.
