The Complexity of Mapping Customer Needs... (and the Myth of a Unanimous Customer)
Axiomatic Design and Complexity Theory as described by Suh focus heavily on the coupling often found in functional requirements. This is so fundamental to the analysis of the design that it is the core of the Axiom of Independence which examines the ...

Equivariant toric geometry and Euler–Maclaurin formulae
Abstract We first investigate torus‐equivariant motivic characteristic classes of toric varieties, and then apply them via the equivariant Riemann–Roch formalism to prove very general Euler–Maclaurin‐type formulae for full‐dimensional simple lattice polytopes.

Axiomatic decomposition of a zero-sum game: the penalty shoot-out case
The game of soccer has offered matter of wide scientific analysis about the effective application of the game theory in real-life. The field observations have often detected divergent behaviors from theoretical predictions.

Abstract 3-Rigidity and Bivariate $C_2^1$-Splines I: Whiteley's Maximality Conjecture
3-Rigidity and Bivariate $C_2^1$-Splines I: Whiteley's Maximality Conjecture, Discrete Analysis 2022:2, 50 pp. Suppose one realizes a graph $G$ by taking its vertex set to be a set of points $x_1,\dots,x_n$ in $\mathbb R^d$ and the edge joining $x_i$ to

On the Applicability of the Advocacy Coalition Framework for Analyzing EU Policy Processes
ABSTRACT Initially developed for the US context, the Advocacy Coalition Framework (ACF) is increasingly used to analyze policy processes in the EU. But policymaking in EU differs from the US context, why the applicability of ACF in the EU context should be scrutinized.

Abstract Specific beliefs do not correlate with seemingly relevant behaviors for many reasons. Such correlations may be low even when beliefs perfectly cause behavior (e.g., because multiple beliefs compete for influence, because beliefs have various behavioral outlets). A belief may be a necessary precursor to, but not a guarantee of, a behavior.

Mechanistic trials, therapy and developmental science—An exemplar from early autism care
Abstract Background Mechanistic design and analysis in clinical trials remains relatively rare in child mental health and autism, despite the considerable value that it could have in developing therapy practice and in illuminating basic science. Clinical trials themselves continue to have insufficient influence on actual clinical practice in child ...
