Neutrality and Relative Acceptability in Judgment Aggregation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
One of the fundamental normative principles in social choice theory is that of neutrality. In the context of judgment aggregation, neutrality is encoded in the form of an axiom expressing that, when two possible judgments enjoy the same support amongst ...

Church's thesis and related axioms in Coq's type theory

open access: yes, 2020
"Church's thesis" ($\mathsf{CT}$) as an axiom in constructive logic states that every total function of type $\mathbb{N} \to \mathbb{N}$ is computable, i.e. definable in a model of computation.

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Economic evaluation of complex multidimensional health services : the case of palliative day care [PDF]

open access: yes
Palliative day care is offered to patients with a life-limiting illness. It provides a range of services to meet the varying needs of individuals. Consequently, the service is multidimensional and the outcomes are hard to define.

A Knowledge‐Based Approach for Understanding and Managing Additive Manufacturing Data

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing processes generate a large amount of data. Effectively managing, understanding, and retrieving information from this data remains a major challenge. Therefore, we propose an ontology‐based approach to integrate heterogeneous data, enable semantic queries, and support decision‐making.

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Identifying Physical Interactions in Contact‐Based Robot Manipulation for Learning from Demonstration

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Robots can learn manipulation tasks from human demonstrations. This work proposes a versatile method to identify the physical interactions that occur in a demonstration, such as sequences of different contacts and interactions with mechanical constraints.

High Humidity Exacerbates Psoriasiform Skin Disease Relapse by Increasing Tissue‐Resident Memory T Cells via Altering Skin Microbiota

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrated that high humidity worsened psoriasis relapse in murine psoriasiform skin inflammation by increasing skin‐resident memory CD8+ cells via upregulating IL‐15Rα on keratinocytes. The increases in IL‐15Rα and memory CD8+ cells were attributed to S. nepalensis and its metabolite ADMA in skin exposed to high humidity.
