Abstract Morpholino-chlorotetrahydro-N-methyl-pyridine 4 reacted with Grignard reagents 5 or diorganyl-magnesium compounds 6 to give a mixture of azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane diastereomers 10 and 11 besides the monocyclic ketones 12. The latter were obtained as the sole products from chloroenamine 4 and dimethylzinc 7a or lithium dimethylcopper 8a ...

Abstract Some transformations of (10R)- and (10S)-bromo-10,11-dihydroquinine 2a and 2b have been investigated in order to obtain insights into their unexplored chirality. The (10R)-diastereomer 2a converts stereoselectively into (4S)-(E-propenyl)-(6S,7R)-(6-methoxy-quinol-4-yl)-8-oxa-(1R)-azabicyclo[4.3.0]nonane 10, which is the product of a novel ...

5-Aryl-3-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptan-6-one ketals, compounds with morphine-like analgesic activity.
Journal of medicinal chemistry, 1984A series of 5-aryl-3-azabicyclo[3.2.0] heptan -6-one ketals 6 were synthesized by hydride reduction of 1-aryl-4, 4-dimethoxy-1,2- cyclobutanedicarboximides 5. Imides 5 were obtained as the sole, regioselective products of the [2 + 2] photocycloaddition of 1,1- dimethoxyethylene to 2- arylmaleimides .
