Fiscal Policy Regimes in Resource‐Rich Economies

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We analyse fiscal policy in resource‐rich economies using a novel Bayesian regime‐switching panel model. The identified regimes capture pro‐ or countercyclical fiscal behaviour by allowing regime‐specific shifts in the average fiscal stance, while the switches between the regimes have the interpretation of changes in fiscal policy.

A highly accurate numerical method for solving boundary value problem of generalized Bagley‐Torvik equation

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
A highly accurate numerical method is given for the solution of boundary value problem of generalized Bagley‐Torvik (BgT) equation with Caputo derivative of order 0<β<2$$ 0<\beta <2 $$ by using the collocation‐shooting method (C‐SM). The collocation solution is constructed in the space Sm+1(1)$$ {S}_{m+1}^{(1)} $$ as piecewise polynomials of degree at ...

Mud Volcano Systems: Structure, Evolution and Processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Mud volcano systems erupt sediment and fluid onto the Earth’s surface producing edifices up to 25 km3 in volume however, little is known about how such volumes are transported through the Earth’s crust.

Numerical Investigation of a Diffusive SIR Model: Focus on Positivity Preservation

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we consider a system of semilinear partial differential equations (PDEs) representing a spatially extended SIR epidemic model. A brief analytical investigation of the well‐posedness and positivity of the solutions is provided in the appendix, while the main focus is on the numerical treatment of the model.

A new record of Catocala lesbia lesbia Christoph, 1887 (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) from the Republic of Azerbaijan [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics, 2020
The catocala moth, Catocala lesbia lesbia Christoph, 1887, caught in the Ordubad district of the Nakhchivan AR is recorded for the first time for Azerbaijan fauna. A single specimen was collected using UV light trap in 2018.  Geographical distribution of

EFFECT OF DIFFERENT CHEMICALS ON THE CARBONIZATION BEHAVIORS AND POLLUTION REMOVAL PERFORMANCE OF BIOCHAR ADSORBENTS DERIVED FROM TEXTILE WASTE

open access: yes, 2023
One of the smart methods of controlling the increasing demand for raw materials and environmental pollution is the recycling of waste. In this study, optimum conditions were determined for the conversion of wastes that will not be reused in the textile ...

Biogeography and diversification patterns in the Irano‐Turanian biodiversity hotspots inferred from a molecular phylogeny of the subendemic Iris subgenus Scorpiris (Iridaceae)

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
The Irano‐Turanian Floristic Region harbors a rich flora, but our understanding of the development of this diversity is limited by a lack of data on phylogenetic relationships and biogeographic patterns of endemic and more widespread plants. Hypotheses of in situ diversification versus allopatric diversification were tested using Iris subgen. Scorpiris,
