Spatial Assembly of Mechanically Planar Chiral Rotaxanes on Rationally Designed Cavitands

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A spatial molecular assembly strategy enables the synthesis of enantioenriched mechanically planar chiral rotaxanes. Inherently chiral cavitands are rationally designed to encode and transmit the stereochemical information. Predictable stereochemical induction is achieved by controlling the spatial arrangement of molecular components through ...

Synthesis, Isolation, and Reactivity of a Phosphinidene Telluride

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We describe the synthesis and isolation of a phosphinidene telluride. This species acts as a versatile phosphinidene transfer reagent accompanied by the extrusion of elemental tellurium. Abstract The synthesis and isolation of a phosphorus(III) telluride is reported.

Inverting the Circularly Polarized Luminescence Handedness of Chiral Supramolecular Polymers Using Temperature

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The supramolecular polymerization of enantiopure triarylamine trisamide monomers bearing aggregation‐induced emissive tetraphenylethene units, gave rise to a strong circularly polarized luminescence (with glum values as high as |1.8·10−2|). Strikingly, upon fast versus slow cooling rates, these monomers formed distinct hierarchical self‐assemblies (i.e.

Silicon‐Based Azo Compound‐Mediated CO Activation and N2 Release

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A rare silicon(IV)‐based azo compound featuring a Si─N═N─Si linkage was synthesized via the direct reaction of an organoazide with a silaiminyl–silylene precursor. This compound undergoes an unusual CO activation process, resulting in N2 release and complete cleavage of the C≡O bond, forming a Si(II)/Si(IV) product bridged by an oxygen atom and an ...

Reversible Sandwich‐Based Particle Nanoswitch for Continuous Protein Monitoring at Picomolar Concentrations with Automated Calibration

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A reversible particle nanoswitch sensor enables continuous protein monitoring by forming transient sandwich complexes in the presence of analyte molecules. Site‐specific conjugations ensure optimal antibody fragment orientation. Demonstrated for lactoferrin, the sensor achieves picomolar sensitivity with ∼12 min time delay and continuous measurements ...
