Grid Independence Study and a Finite Difference Collocation Approach for Magnetized CeO2‐Ti3C2/H2O Hybrid Nanofluid Flow Over an Inclined Spinning Disk With Newtonian Heating

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This work examines magnetohydrodynamic (CeO2, Ti3C2/H2O) hybrid nanofluid (HNF) flow on an inclined revolving disk with effects of Newtonian heating. HNF is obtained by suspending the nanoparticles (NPs) of CeO2 and Ti3C2 in water (H2O). The flow is affected by mixed convection, Joule heating, nonlinear thermally radiative and dissipative ...

Fibrillisation and Mechanical Properties of Plasma‐Treated Modification LDPE/PA6 Microfibrillar Composites

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Plasma treatment enhances interfacial adhesion between LDPE/PA6 via carbonyl group formation. PA6 droplet size heterogeneity reduced to ~850 nm after plasma treatment. Drawing at 160°C produces highly oriented microfibrils with faster throughput. Plasma‐treated MFCs show up to 500% tensile strength increase and 18% higher stiffness.

On the Influence of Pressure, Phase Transitions, and Water on Large‐Scale Seismic Anisotropy Underneath a Subduction Zone

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems
Seismic anisotropy mainly originates from the crystallographic preferred orientation (CPO) of minerals deformed in the convective mantle flow. While fabric transitions have been previously observed in experiments, their influence on large‐scale ...

Jet suppression and azimuthal anisotropy from RHIC to LHC

open access: yesPhysical Review D
Azimuthal anisotropies of high-pT particles produced in heavy-ion collisions are understood as an effect of a geometrical selection bias. Particles oriented in the direction in which the QCD medium formed in these collisions is shorter suffer less energy loss, and thus, are over-represented in the final ensemble compared to those oriented in the ...

Prospecting of Architectural Features Using LiDAR‐UAV Technology, Deep Neural Networks and Visualization Techniques: A Case Study in Kuélap and Cambolín (NW Peru)

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT High‐resolution and accurate synoptic images of terrestrial topography, even in densely forested areas, have proven valuable for archaeology by enabling the identification and characterization of relief patterns associated with ancient human activities. This study presents a novel approach that integrates digital terrain models (DTMs) obtained
