Extending Field Limits in Nanoscale Magnetic Imaging With Metamaterial‐Inspired Magnetic Flux Concentrators

Micrometer‐sized flower‐shaped metamaterial magnetic flux concentrators are fabricated directly around nano and micromagnetic samples, enabling local field enhancement. Integrated into magnetic sensitive photoemission electron microscopy, they extend the available magnetic field range by up to a factor of five.

Spatial Activity Patterning and Topological Defect Transport in Acoustically Energized Active Liquid Crystals

Channel geometry is used to pattern activity in acoustically energized active liquid crystals, producing controlled, directional transport of topological defects.
