Crevasse-induced Rayleigh-wave azimuthal anisotropy on Glacier de la Plaine Morte, Switzerland
Crevasses and englacial fracture networks route meltwater from a glacier's surface to the subglacial drainage system and thus influence glacial hydraulics.

Observation of the east-west anisotropy of the atmospheric neutrino flux [PDF]
The east-west anisotropy, caused by the deflection of primary cosmic rays in the Earth's magnetic field, is observed for the first time in the flux of atmospheric neutrinos.

Investigation of particle coherence in Pb+Pb collisions at LHC
The observed particle distributions in Pb+Pb collisions at LHC are investigated. Monte Carlo simulations of the azimuthal anisotropy i.e. flow, and transverse momentum spectra provide insights in e.g. hadron genesis and in medio scattering.

Higher harmonics of azimuthal anisotropy in relativistic heavy ion collisions in HYDJET++ model [PDF]
The LHC data on azimuthal anisotropy harmonics from PbPb collisions at center-of-mass energy 2.76 TeV per nucleon pair are analyzed and interpreted in the framework of the HYDJET++ model.

Azimuthal anisotropy at Valhall: The Helmholtz equation approach [PDF]
AbstractWe used 6 h of continuous vertical records from 2320 sensors of the Valhall Life of Fields Seismic network to compute 2,690,040 cross‐correlation functions between the full set of sensor pair combinations. We applied the “Helmholtz tomography” approach combined with the ambient noise correlation method to track the wave front across the network

On the Relationship Between Oceanic Plate Speed, Tectonic Stress, and Seismic Anisotropy
Seismic radial anisotropy (the squared ratio between the speeds of horizontally and vertically polarized shear waves, ξ=VSH2VSV2) is a powerful tool to probe the direction of mantle flow and accumulated strain.

Flow with PMD: Past and Future
Measurements of azimuthal distribution of inclusive photons using the fine granularity preshower photon multiplicity detector (PMD) at CERN SPS are used to obtain anisotropy in the azimuthal distributions.

All that wobbles isn’t necessarily azimuthal anisotropy [PDF]
Onshore 3D seismic data is often acquired with rich azimuth coverage by utilising orthogonal shooting (or cross-spread) layouts.

Using the 3-D axial anisotropy, the dipping anisotropy, and the azimuthal anisotropy as case studies, we investigated the influence of each anisotropic resistivity element on the magnetotelluric surface responses. To justify the strong and weak influence
