Vat Photopolymerization of High Molecular Weight Polymer Latexes with Pseudothermoplastic Properties for Recyclability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A photocurable latex system enables high‐resolution vat photopolymerization of water‐dispersed thermoplastics, yielding pseudothermoplastic materials with recyclability. The formulation permits precise control over mechanical properties and supports reprocessing through conventional and extrusion‐based methods. Compatibility with two‐photon 3D printing

Theoretical Design and Synthesis of Caged Compounds Using X‐Ray‐Triggered Azo Bond Cleavage

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Caged compounds are frequently used in life science research. However, the light used to activate them is commonly absorbed and scattered by biological materials, limiting their use to basic research in cells or small animals.

Synthesis, characterization, thermal

open access: yesArabian Journal of Chemistry, 2017
This work explains the synthesis of a new azo-Schiff base compound, derived from condensation between N-ethylcarbazole-3-carbaldehyde and 1,3-diaminopropane, followed by azo coupling reaction with the diazonium salt of 2-amino-4-methyl phenol.

Photoinduced reordering in thin azo-dye films and light-induced reorientation dynamics of nematic liquid-crystal easy axis [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E 86, 011706 (2012), 2012
We theoretically study the kinetics of photoinduced reordering triggered by linearly polarized (LP) reorienting light in thin azo-dye films that were initially illuminated with LP ultraviolet (UV) pumping beam. The process of reordering is treated as a rotational diffusion of molecules in the light intensity-dependent mean-field potential.

Polarization‐Driven Molecular Alignment of Azopolymer for Dual‐Encrypted and Moiré Animation‐Based Anti‐Counterfeiting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multi‐layered anti‐counterfeiting platform is developed based on an azopolymer (PAzo) system. By leveraging the molecular orientation control of PAzo under linearly polarized light (LPL), encrypted patterns are fabricated that remain invisible under standard conditions and require polarized optical microscopy (POM) for decryption.

Electrochemical behavior and in-vitro antimicrobial screening of some thienylazoaryls dyes

open access: yesChemistry Central Journal, 2017
Background A series of recently reported phenolic azo dyes 7a–e were prepared by coupling the thienyl diazonium sulfate of 3-Amino-4H-benzo[f]thieno[3,4-c](2H)chromen-4-one with selected diversely substituted phenolic and naphtholic derivatives.

Optoelectronic Devices for In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The raw data obtained directly from sensors in the noisy analogue domain is often unstructured, which lacks a predefined format or organization and does not conform to a specific data model. Optoelectronic devices for in‐sensor visual processing can integrate perception, memory, and processing functions in the same physical units, which can compress ...
