Decolorization of Disperse Dyes in Textile Polyester Recycling Using Activated Carbon
Decolorization of disperse dyes from disodium terephthalate solutions is examined using two activated carbons with varying pore structures and surface properties. The potential impact of pore size distribution and surface charge on the adsorption process is assessed to support optimized adsorbent selection.

Treatment of azo dyes in industrial wastewater using microbial fuel cells [PDF]
Due to the extensive use of xenobiotic azo dyes in the colour industry and their proven mutagenic and cytotoxic nature, their treatment prior to discharge is essential and is legally enforced.

Decolorization of Ponceau Red 4R with TiO2/ZnO: Effect of calcination temperature and Fe addition
Abstract The photocatalytic degradation of azo dyes using semiconductor oxides has emerged as a promising strategy for wastewater remediation. In this study, pure, mixed, and Fe‐doped oxide catalysts based on Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide were synthesized and evaluated for the degradation of Ponceau 4R under ultraviolet irradiation.

Abstract BACKGROUND Upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactors are widely used in low‐ and middle‐income countries, but secondary effluents may still contain organic micropollutants and residual toxicity. This study evaluated UV–Vis photolysis and UV/H2O2 as post‐treatment options for UASB secondary effluent (SE), integrating micropollutant ...
