ABSTRACT Surveillance imaging aims to detect tumour relapse before symptoms develop, but it's unclear whether earlier detection of relapse leads to better outcomes in children and young people (CYP) with medulloblastoma and ependymoma. This systematic review aims to identify relevant literature to determine the efficacy of surveillance magnetic ...

Some results in quasi-b-metric-like spaces [PDF]
Abstract In this paper, we introduce a new concept of quasi-b-metric-like spaces as a generalization of b-metric-like spaces and quasi-metric-like spaces. Some fixed point theorems are investigated in quasi-b-metric-like spaces. Moreover, an example is given to support one of our results. MSC:47H10, 54H25.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

The Geometry of the Frame Bundle over Spacetime [PDF]
One of the known mathematical descriptions of singularities in General Relativity is the b-boundary, which is a way of attaching endpoints to inextendible endless curves in a spacetime.

ABSTRACT Background Psychological safety (PS) is essential for teamwork, communication, and patient safety in complex healthcare environments. In pediatric oncology, interprofessional collaboration occurs under high emotional and organizational demands. Low PS may increase stress, burnout, and adverse events.

On ultrametrics, b-metrics, w-distances, metric-preserving functions, and fixed point theorems
In this article, new classes of functions based on new variations of metric-preserving functions are defined. Necessary and sufficient conditions for functions to be in these classes are also provided.

On some fixed point results in b-metric, rectangular and b-rectangular metric spaces
In this paper we consider, discuss, improve and generalize recent fixed point results for mappings in b-metric, rectangular metric and b-rectangular metric spaces established by Đukić et al. (2011), George and Rajagopalan (2013) and Roshan et al. (2015).

A new extension to the controlled metric type spaces endowed with a graph
In this paper, we initiate a new extension of b-metric spaces, called controlled metric-like spaces, by changing the condition [ ℘ ( s , r ) = 0 ⇔ s = r ] by [ ℘ ( s , r ) = 0 ⇒ s = r ] $$ \bigl[\wp (s,r)=0 \Leftrightarrow s=r\bigr]\quad \text{by ...

ABSTRACT Background B‐acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B‐ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, and while most children in high‐resource settings are cured, therapy carries risks for long‐term toxicities. Understanding parents’ concerns about these late effects is essential to guide anticipatory support and inform evolving therapeutic approaches ...

On Imprisoned Curves and b-length in General Relativity [PDF]
This paper is concerned with two themes: imprisoned curves and the b-length functional. In an earlier paper by the author, it was claimed that an endless incomplete curve partially imprisoned in a compact set admits an endless null geodesic cluster curve.
