Quasisymmetric mappings in b-metric spaces
Considering quasisymmetric mappings between b-metric spaces we have found a new estimation for the ratio of diameters of two subsets which are images of two bounded subsets. This result generalizes the well-known Tukia-Vaisala inequality. The condition under which the image of a b-metric space under a quasisymmetric mapping is also a b-metric space is ...

Proinov type contractions on dislocated b-metric spaces [PDF]
AbstractIn this paper, we improve the Proinov theorem by adding certain rational expressions to the definition of the corresponding contractions. After that, we prove fixed point theorems for these modified Proinov contractions in the framework of dislocated b-metric spaces.

In this article, we propose a generalization of both b-metric and dislocated metric, namely, dislocated extended b-metric space. After getting some fixed point results, we suggest a relatively simple solution for a Volterra integral equation by using the

Metric spaces related to Abelian groups
When working with a metric space, we are dealing with the additive group (R, +). Replacing (R, +) with an Abelian group (G, ∗), offers a new structure of a metric space. We call it a G-metric space and the induced topology is called the G-metric topology.

Rational Type Contractions in Extended b-Metric Spaces [PDF]
In this paper, we establish the existence of fixed points of rational type contractions in the setting of extended b-metric spaces. Our results extend considerably several well-known results in the existing literature. We present some nontrivial examples to show the validity of our results.

Solvability of integral equations through fixed point theorems: a survey [PDF]
This paper surveys regarding solutions of linear and nonlinear integral equations through fixed point theorem. Banach's contraction mapping principle is the most widely applied fixed point theorem in all of analysis with special applications to the ...

On Ciric type theorems in b-metric spaces
We show that the range of contraction constant in a result of Karap?nar et al. can not be extended to [0, 1). However, by using some additional conditions, we prove that the range can be extended to [0,1). The first result gives a negative answer to the open question on a Ciric type theorem in b-metric spaces, and the next results are ...

Metric spaces and their various generalizations occur frequently in computer science applications. This is the reason why, in this paper, we introduced and studied the concept of fuzzy b-metric space, generalizing, in this way, both the notion of fuzzy metric space introduced by I. Kramosil and J. Michálek and the concept of b-metric space.

Contractive conditions in b-metric spaces [PDF]
The purpose of this paper is to consider various contractive conditions in b-metric spaces which have been recently published. Our results improve and complement many recent results from this field. Using the recently obtained result by R. Miculescu and A.
