Dual generalized B-spline functions and their applications in several approximation problems
A new construction method of dual generalized B-spline functions is presented in this paper. Due to the importance of generalized B-splines, several interesting applications of these dual functions in Computer Aided Manufacturing are also given.

SURFACE APPROXIMATION OF COASTAL REGIONS: LR B-SPLINE FOR DETECTION OF DEFORMATION PATTERN [PDF]
Geospatial data acquisition of terrains produces huge, noisy and scattered point clouds. An efficient use of the acquired data requires structured and compact data representations. Working directly in a point cloud is often not appealing.

Parametrization and penalties in spline models with an application to survival analysis [PDF]
A simple parametrization, built from the definition of cubic splines, is shown to facilitate the implementation and interpretation of penalized spline models, whatever configuration of knots is used.

Fuzzy B-Spline Surface Modeling
This paper discusses the construction of a fuzzy B-spline surface model. The construction of this model is based on fuzzy set theory which is based on fuzzy number and fuzzy relation concepts.

Recursive B-spline approximation using the Kalman filter
This paper proposes a novel recursive B-spline approximation (RBA) algorithm which approximates an unbounded number of data points with a B-spline function and achieves lower computational effort compared with previous algorithms.

Repetitive Control Scheme of Robotic Manipulators Based on Improved B-Spline Function
In this paper, a repetitive control scheme of a 2-DOF robotic manipulator based on the improved cubic B-spline curve is proposed. Firstly, a repetitive controller for robotic manipulator is designed, which is composed of an iterative controller and ...

Kernel B-splines and interpolation
Kernel B-splines comprise a more general approach to radial basis function interpolation, in that the more specific radial basis functions are replaced by positive definite kernels or conditionally positive kernels. In this paper, differences are applied to the conditionally positive definite kernels in order that they decay (more quickly) and that the
