Spatial Variations of Seismic B-Values Distribution in China
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011Seismic frequency-magnitude relationship has been investigated in China, based on the earthquake data in the range ofM3.0 toM7.0 during the years 1986-2008, to study the potential of variations ofb-values with the depth. According to the results, there is a systematic decrease inbvalue with increasing depth of earthquakes.

High b-Value Diffusion-Weighted MRI of Normal Brain
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 2001As MR scanner hardware has improved, allowing for increased gradient strengths, we are able to generate higher b values for diffusion-weighted (DW) imaging. Our purpose was to evaluate the appearance of the normal brain on DW MR images as the diffusion gradient strength ("b value") is increased from 1,000 to 3,000 s/mm2.Three sets of echo planar images

Diagnostic value of multi-b-value DWI for endometrial carcinoma and the optimal b value exploring
ISMRM Annual MeetingSelecting the appropriate b value in DWI scanning to maximize the signal difference between endometrial tissues with different properties is conducive to the detection and accurate diagnosis of the endometrial lesion. The multiple b value DWI, especially b value > 1000 s/mm2, may play a crucial role in the detection of EC.

The b-value as an earthquake precursor
Nature, 1981A systematic study of b-values in New Zealand has shown that within the vicinity of forthcoming large earthquakes there is initially an increase in b and then a return to normal The Caracas and San Fernando earthquakes show the same phenomenon, which is related to that of seismic gaps.

Bounded Constructions of Atomic b-Valued Registers
2012The previous chapter has shown how to construct an SWSR atomic bit from a bounded number (three) of safe bits. Moreover, a bounded construction, due to K. Vidyasankar, of a \(b\)-valued atomic register (i.e., a register that can take \(b\) different values) from atomic bits was presented in Chap. 11.

Lifetime Estimation and B-Value (WG1.1, SG4)
1999One of the main goals of COST 246 is to study the reliability of optical fibres. Working Group 1.1 has studied and discussed many aspects of this problem: transmission stability (attenuation changes, polarisation mode dispersion etc.) and mechanical stability (handleability, ageing phenomena, ageing test methods, service environment, coating behaviour ...
