The Mean Ratio Set for $ax + b$ Valued Cocycles

open access: yesPublications of the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, 1996
Let X=\prod^∞_{\iota =1} Z_{l(\iota)} be acted upon by the group Γ=\bigoplus^∞_{\iota =1}Z_{l(\iota)} of changes in finitely many coordinates and

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

2021年江苏天宁MS4.2地震前后b值与视应力时空变化特征研究

open access: yesDizhen xuebao

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Magnitude probabilities for extreme earthquakes around the globe with Rank-Ordering

open access: yesГеофизический журнал
Earthquake likelihoods have occupied humankind ever since, and the estimation of potential magnitudes is crucial for a multitude of aspects of safety. In this work, we present a probabilistic analysis of extreme magnitudes in 16 regions across the globe ...

Standard b-value versus low b-value diffusion-weighted MRI in renal cell carcinoma: a systematic review and meta-analysis [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2014
We sought to determine the comparative diagnostic performance of standard b-value (800-1000 s/mm2) versus low b-value (400-500 s/mm2) diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) in the detection of renal cell carcinoma (RCC).After a systematic review of the available literature, studies were included that reported b-values, used a ...

Optimized b-value selection for the discrimination of prostate cancer grades, including the cribriform pattern, using diffusion weighted imaging

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging, 2017
. Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MP-MRI), including diffusion-weighted imaging, is commonly used to diagnose prostate cancer. This radiology–pathology study correlates prostate cancer grade and morphology with common b-value combinations for

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Detection of Gutenberg–Richter b‐Value Changes in Earthquake Time Series

open access: yesBulletin of The Seismological Society of America (BSSA), 2018
1 The Gutenberg-Richter relation for earthquake magnitudes is the most famous empir2 ical law in seismology. It states that the frequency of earthquake magnitudes follows an 3 exponential distribution, which is found to be a robust feature of seismicity ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in
