Método alternativo de avaliação da absorção de atrazine por plantas de Brachiaria plantaginea Alternative method for evaluation of atrazine asorption by Brachiaria plantaginea plants

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2002
Dois experimentos foram conduzidos em casa de vegetação da Universidade Estadual de Maringá-PR, objetivando desenvolver metodologia alternativa para avaliar a absorção foliar e radicular de herbicidas.

Influência do teor de água na superfície do solo sobre a eficácia e seletividade do flazasulfuron, na cultura de cana-de-açúcar Influence of soil surface water content on the efficacy and selectivity of flazasulfuron in sugarcane culture

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2004

Prey Range and Voracity of Main Insect Natural Enemies of Pests in Corsican Clementine Orchards

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.
To assess the biocontrol potential on the main arthropod pests of clementine orchards in Corsica, laboratory experiments were carried out using five potential predators. Their prey range and voracity were tested on three pest species. Then, a global predation rate index was calculated at the scale of the entire community of insect predators.

Semi‐Quantitative Monitoring of Plant‐Arthropod Interactions by eDNA Metabarcoding of Individual Flowers and Leaves

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
Terrestrial eDNA analysis is currently revolutionizing our ability to monitor arthropod plant interactions. But while the approach has been shown to accurately recover arthropod communities which interacted with a flower, its quantitative capabilities are limited.

Update of the Xylella spp. host plant database – Systematic literature search up to 31 December 2025

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract This scientific report provides an update of the Xylella spp. host plant database, aiming to provide information and scientific support to risk assessors, risk managers and researchers dealing with Xylella spp. Upon a mandate of the European Commission, EFSA created and regularly updates a database of host plant species of Xylella spp.

Towards an attract‐and‐reward strategy: evaluating nectar resources and HIPVs under laboratory conditions to enhance Aphelinus mali parasitism activity, a key parasitoid of Eriosoma lanigerum

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 4, Page 3955-3963, April 2026.
Euphorbia segetalis is a promising attractant insectary plant for Aphelinus mali. Meanwhile, Vicia faba and Vicia sativa are a promising nectar resource to sustain the parasitoid in early spring when the population of Eriosoma lanigerum is low, and honeydew is scarce.

Welcome Pathogens: Transient Heat Dampens Immune Responses to Acibenzolar‐S‐Methyl in Apple Plants

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 3, Page 1229-1248, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Climate change affects plant‐pathogen interactions, with disease outcome varying depending on the pathosystem and environmental scenario. In Arabidopsis, a thermo‐sensitive module of salicylic acid (SA) signalling makes immunity vulnerable to heat.

Control of Woolly Apple Aphid (Eriosoma lanigerum) by Augmenting Earwigs (Forficula auricularia) in the Canopy of Apple Trees

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, Volume 174, Issue 1, Page 61-73, January 2026.
Apple trees provisioned with five earwigs and a refuge made a small but not significant contribution to woolly apple aphid control. ABSTRACT Woolly apple aphid, Eriosoma lanigerum (Hausmann), is a damaging pest of apple (Malus domestica F.) found in most regions of the world where apples grow.

Impact of Pre‐Emergent Herbicides and Soil Management on Weed Community Dynamics and Soybean Yield

open access: yesInternational Journal of Agronomy, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Pre‐emergent herbicides are key tools in managing herbicide‐resistant and hard‐to‐control weed species in soybean (Glycine max L.) cultivation. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of pre‐emergent herbicides on weed phytosociology, soybean phytotoxicity, and grain yield under different soil management systems and environmental conditions.
