Effects of bisphenol A onGammarus fossarumandLumbriculus variegatusin artificial indoor streams
Toxicological & Environmental Chemistry, 2006The impact of bisphenol A (BPA) on Gammarus fossarum and Lumbriculus variegatus was studied in four artificial indoor streams (0, 5, 50 and 500 µg L−1 BPA, nominal) over 103 days in a pulse–dose exposure scenario (weekly BPA application). For G. fossarum populations at day 103, the proportions of juveniles and of breeding females from the highest BPA ...

Vibsatins A and B, Two New Tetranorvibsane-Type Diterpenoids from Viburnum tinus cv. variegatus
Organic Letters, 2014Vibsatins A (1) and B (2), a pair of 14,15,16,17-tetranorvibsane-type diterpenoids that feature a bicyclo[4.2.1]nonane moiety formed by a new C-13/C-2 bond, were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Viburnum tinus cv. variegatus. The structures and absolute configurations were elucidated by a combination of NMR spectra, optical rotation, and X-ray ...

Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis, 2002
Several plant species have evolved metal tolerance as a response to increasing metal concentration in soils due to human activities. A well-described example is the evolution of copper-tolerant ecotypes of the monkey flower ( Mimulus guttatus ) in Copperopolis, California.

AbstractVibsatins A, (I), and B, (II), are the first examples of 14,15,16,17‐tetranorvibsane diterpenoids containing a core bicyclo[4.2.1]nonane moiety, which represents a new subtype of vibsane‐type diterpenoids.

ABSTRACT We have investigated the distribution and function of an ezrin-radixin-moesin-like (ERM) molecule in the sea urchin. A sea urchin homologue of moesin was cloned that shares 75% amino acid similarity in the conserved N-terminal region to other moesin molecules.
