From Numbers to Choice: How Numerical Sustainability Claims Shape Visual Attention and Purchase Decisions in Fashion

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability information is difficult for consumers to evaluate because environmental performance represents a credence attribute. Although numerical sustainability claims have been shown to improve consumers' perceptions of sustainability communication, little is known about whether they influence product choice under realistic marketplace ...

Are Start‐Up Acquisitions by Dominant Firms Driving Innovation or Killing Competition?

open access: yesManagerial and Decision Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper develops a sequential model to examine start‐up acquisitions in markets with network externalities, incorporating a pre‐entry strategic buyout option that allows the incumbent to integrate the start‐up's innovation, followed by post‐entry expenditure on coordination advertising, and defensive pricing strategies.

Suboptimal Model Predictive Control With a Computation Governor: Stability, Recursive Feasibility, and Applications to Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers

open access: yesOptimal Control Applications and Methods, EarlyView.
Computational governor is shown which simultaneously adjusts the reference and adjusts the constraints. ABSTRACT The paper considers a computational governor strategy to facilitate the implementation of Model Predictive Control (MPC) based on inexact optimization when the time available to compute the solution may be insufficient.

AWSD Reactive Burn Model for the HMX‐Based High Explosive LX‐04

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT An Arrhenius–Wescott–Stewart–Davis (AWSD) reactive burn model is applied to describe shock initiation and detonation properties of the HMX‐based high explosive LX‐04. The parameters in the model are calibrated to data from multiple sources. The thermodynamic equations of state used in the model are calibrated to a combination of thermochemical

Unlocking Financial Inclusion: The Dynamics of Bank Account Ownership in Urban Slums

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Financial inclusion is a key driver of sustainable development, contributing to poverty reduction (SDG 1), gender equality (SDG 5), and reduced inequalities (SDG 10). Despite extensive financial‐inclusion policies in India, residents of urban slums remain largely excluded from formal banking systems.

GC-MS Combined with Chemometrics for Characterizing the Effect of Staphylococcus saprophytic MF B8 on Volatile Flavor Compounds in Stinky Mandarin Fish

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
To investigate the effect of Staphylococcus saprophyticus MF B8 from stinky mandarin fish on the volatile flavor of stinky mandarin fish, four experimental groups were set up using mandarin fish as raw material: fresh mandarin fish (S1), uninoculated ...

Exploring Barriers on the Path to B Corp Certification

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT B Corp companies have become a benchmark for sustainability and corporate social responsibility today. However, it is striking that of the more than 285,000 companies that use the B Impact Assessment (BIA) to measure their performance, only around 9400 have managed to achieve certification.

Circular Economy and Sustainable Development in China's Textile Industry: Challenges and Innovation Pathways

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The circular economy (CE) is increasingly promoted as a strategy for addressing environmental degradation and resource inefficiencies. Despite growing policy support, CE implementation remains fragmented in many resource‐intensive industries, particularly in emerging economies. This study investigates barriers to CE adoption in China's textile

Design, synthesis and activity evaluation of tetrahydroisoquinoline‐based programmed cell death ligand 1 inhibitors

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
Based on a 3D‐quantitative structure‐activity relationship pharmacophore model, structural optimization of Y6 yielded Y7f. Mechanistic studies revealed that Y7f acted as a programmed death receptor 1/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD‐L1) interaction inhibitor by inducing PD‐L1 dimerization. Y7f restored T‐cell function.
