Optimising the Therapeutic Window: A Systematic Review and Network Meta‐Analysis of Pregabalin Dosing Strategies for Painful Diabetic Neuropathy

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 7, Page 5637-5648, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Aims Although pregabalin is a first‐line therapy for painful diabetic polyneuropathy (PDPN), its optimal dose–response relationship remains unclear. We conducted a network meta‐analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of fixed pregabalin dosages in PDPN patients.

The Coptic Church in the Aftermath of the Second Vatican Council: Theological or Tactical Anti‐Judaism?

open access: yesModern Theology, Volume 42, Issue 3, Page 667-685, July 2026.
Abstract Vatican II's declaration on the Jews, absolving them from collective guilt of deicide, marked a significant turning point in Catholic theology. Arab governments tended to perceive this development as evidence that Catholics (or Christians generally) were taking the side of Zionist Jews in the Arab‐Israeli conflict.

Sweet Potato Gene Clusters Control Anthocyanin Biosynthesis and Leaf Morphology

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 7, Page 4500-4527, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) exhibits diversity in pigmentation and leaf morphology, yet the genetic architecture and regulatory organisation underlying these traits remain poorly resolved, particularly with respect to organ‐specific control.

Ionomic Screening of BRRI dhan84 Mutagenized Population Identifies Candidate Genes Underlying High Arsenic and Low Zinc/Cadmium Accumulation

open access: yesPhysiologia Plantarum, Volume 178, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Mutagenesis combined with ionomic profiling offers a powerful approach to explore the genetic basis of essential and toxic element accumulation in rice grain and to generate materials for marker‐assisted breeding. However, large‐scale ionomic screening has not previously been conducted in Bangladeshi rice germplasm.

The 2025 Mw 7.6 Aomori‐Oki Megathrust Sequence and a Slip‐Parallel Seismic Belt to the Trench

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract The 2025 Mw 7.6 Aomori‐Oki earthquake nucleated near the 1968 Mw 8.3 Tokachi‐Oki rupture area. Our waveform inversion reveals large slip (>1 m) extending ∼40 km northward from the hypocenter, overlapping the inferred 1968 northern asperity. Minor secondary slip (0.2–0.6 m) was resolved ∼60 km updip, and high‐precision relocations show that ...
