Observations on Navicula okunoi Hustedt (Bacillariophyceae

Abstract Navicula okunoi Hustedt was described from a Miocene freshwater deposit near Setana, Japan. The holotype and so far only known specimen of this taxon has been destroyed. Recent thorough research revealed several specimens among which a neotype was designated. This investigation also showed that the taxon belongs in the genus Achnanthes.

Identification of an epiphytic diatom on Nitzschia sigmoidea (Bacillariophyceae)

Bacillariophyceae u epifitonskim zajednicama ljutka

Tijekom 1997. i 1998. godine u NP Plitvička jezera, provedena su sustavna istraživanja alga kremenjašica u epifitonskim zajednicama na živim i uginulim stabljikama ljutka (Cladium mariscus Pohl.). Ukupno je determinirano 137 vrsta od kojih je 50% zajedničkih na oba tipa supstrata. Na živim stabljikama ljutka determinirano je 96, a na uginulim 111 vrsta.
