Minimum-Backflow-Power Scheme of DAB-Based Solid-State Transformer With Extended-Phase-Shift Control
IEEE transactions on industry applications, 2018As key component for the flexible dc distributed power system, the dual active bridge (DAB)-converter-based solid-state transformer (SST) with high efficiency for a wide operating range is essential.

Introduction T URBULENT backflow regions exhibit a strong wake-like behavior down to the immediate vicinity of solid surfaces. This behavior precludes the use of the law-of-the-wall as a tool for analyzing such flow regions and dictates development of turbulence models dedicated to treating these flows.

1. The historical and experimental aspects of pyelorenal backflow are reviewed in some detail. 2. Four types of backflow may be recognised, namely pyelovenous, pyelolymphatic, pyelo-interstitial, occurring after calycinie rupture, and pyelotubular which occurs independently of rupture. 3.

Backflow Incident Sparks Improvements
Opflow, 2001Despite the strongest prevention efforts, all water distribution systems can fall victim to backflow. In 1998, the lack of a simple backflow prevention device on an Air National Guard airport firefighting truck created a potentially hazardous water contamination problem for Charlotte, North Carolina, area residents.

Demonstrating Backflow Through Backsiphonage
Opflow, 1998This article discusses backsiphonage as a form of backflow in residential situations. It stresses the importance of each water service connection complying with all plumbing codes, and that the homeowner's irrigation system have routine performance checks.

Backflow in Venous Cannulation
Archives of Surgery, 1984To the Editor .—The article on subclavian vein cannulation by Conces and Holden 1 was interesting and informative. However, although a comprehensive discussion was proffered, their main thrust was to promote reliance on the roentgenogram for correct catheter placement.

This collection consists of a critical preface and nine essays. The preface analyzes, first, how the imagination influences the personal journey of a writer, and second, the techniques authors use, mainly form, time, and space, to enact the imagination and propel the reader into an imagined narrative.
