Translational Invariance and the Anisotropy of the Cosmic Microwave Background [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Primordial quantum fluctuations produced by inflation are conventionally assumed to be statistically homogeneous, a consequence of translational invariance.

Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Division of Multi-harmonic Responsibilities Based on DBSCAN Clustering and Interval Regression

open access: yesZhongguo dianli
The traditional harmonic responsibility division methods are not applicable to the existing statistical harmonic monitoring data in the context of background harmonic impedance changes and background harmonic voltage fluctuations.

A novel method for estimating utility harmonic impedance based probabilistic evaluation

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2022
Here, a novel method for estimating utility harmonic impedance (UHI) based on probabilistic evaluation is proposed. By analysing harmonic data, it is determined that UHI tends to obey a particular distribution, that varies with the amplitude of the ...

Landau levels in a 2D noncommutative space: matrix and quaternionic vector coherent states

open access: yes, 2012
The behavior of an electron in an external uniform electromagnetic background coupled to a harmonic potential, with noncommuting space coordinates, is considered in this work. The thermodynamics of the system is studied.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Real-Time Harmonic Pollution Evaluation Considering Multiple Dynamic Customers

open access: yesCSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems
The widespread deployment of renewable energies and non-linear loads has led to serious harmonic pollution in electrical distribution networks. Evaluation of the harmonic contribution (HC) of each customer is a significant task for power quality ...

Canonical Reduction of Gravity: from General Covariance to Dirac Observables and post-Minkowskian Background-Independent Gravitational Waves

open access: yes, 2004
The status of canonical reduction for metric and tetrad gravity in space-times of the Christodoulou-Klainermann type, where the ADM energy rules the time evolution, is reviewed.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Harmonic oscillator in a background magnetic field in noncommutative quantum phase-space

open access: yes, 2009
We solve explicitly the two-dimensional harmonic oscillator and the harmonic oscillator in a background magnetic field in noncommutative phase-space without making use of any type of representation.
