Object tracking system using a VSW algorithm based on color and point features

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2011
An object tracking system using a variable search window (VSW) algorithm based on color and feature points is proposed. A meanshift algorithm is an object tracking technique that works according to color probability distributions.

Spatial-temporal modeling of background radiation using mobile sensor networks. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Modeling of background radiation for the urban environment plays an important role in homeland security. However, background radiation is difficult to assess due to its spatial-temporal fluctuations caused by the variation in soil composition, building ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Locally Statistical Dual-Mode Background Subtraction Approach

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Due to the variety of background model in the real world, detecting changes in a video cannot be addressed exhaustively by a simple background subtraction method, especially with several motion detection challenges, such as dynamic background, camera ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Background Subtraction for Dynamic Scenes Using Gabor Filter Bank and Statistical Moments

open access: yesAlgorithms
This paper introduces a novel background subtraction method that utilizes texture-level analysis based on the Gabor filter bank and statistical moments. The method addresses the challenge of accurately detecting moving objects that exhibit similar color ...

Adaptive spatiotemporal background modelling

open access: yesIET Computer Vision, 2012
In this study, one adaptive spatiotemporal background modelling algorithm is proposed for robust and reliable moving object detection in dynamic scene. First, a modified adaptive Gaussian mixture model (GMM) is presented to describe the temporal distribution of each pixel, based on which the spatial distribution of background is constructed by using ...
