The Frequency‐Domain Lattice Boltzmann Method (FreqD‐LBM): A Versatile Tool to Predict the QCM Response Induced by Structured Samples

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
FreqD‐LBM simulates the oscillatory flow at the surface of a QCM‐D resonator in the presence of structured adsorbates. It derives shifts of frequency and bandwidth (equivalent to dissipation) on different overtones. Applications include rough surfaces, adsorbed rigid particles, adsorbed viscoelastic particles, spheres floating freely above the surface,

Sustained Vaccine Exposure Elicits More Rapid, Consistent, and Broad Humoral Immune Responses to Multivalent Influenza Vaccines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents an injectable polymer‐nanoparticle hydrogel depot platform for delivering multivalent influenza vaccines which induces stronger and more durable immune responses. The technology provides broader protection, including against heterologous and potential pandemic strains (H5N1, H7N9, H9N2), and enhances the effectiveness of commercial ...

NaBC1 Boron Transporter Enables Myoblast Response to Substrate Rigidity via Fibronectin‐Binding Integrins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cells transduce the rigidity of the environment into biochemical cues through mechanotransductive cascades that modulate cell behavior. Here, a novel role for the boron transporter NaBC1 is identified as a mechanotransducer involved in regulating cell behavior via specific crosstalk with fibronectin‐binding integrins.

Epithelial Cell Mechanoresponse to Matrix Viscoelasticity and Confinement Within Micropatterned Viscoelastic Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Extracellular matrix (ECM) viscoelasticity and spatial confinement regulate cellular processes such as cancer progression, yet their interplay remains poorly understood. By developing fibronectin (FN)‐micropatterned viscoelastic hydrogels mimicking breast cancer mechanics, this study explores breast epithelial cell mechanoresponse to ECM ...
