Consistent Collaborative Vehicle Utilization
ABSTRACT Carriers are often reluctant to collaborate with other carriers in delivering goods to customers despite potential cost reductions. A durable collaboration requires attention to more aspects. Carriers typically wish to remain competitive, unconstrained by the collaboration, increasing profits by attracting new customers and withholding ...

$K$ –User Interference Channels With Backhaul Cooperation: DoF vs. Backhaul Load Trade–Off
In this paper, we consider multiple-antenna $K$-user interference channels with backhaul collaboration in one side (among the transmitters or among the receivers) and investigate the trade-off between the rate in the channel versus the communication load in the backhaul.

Cooperative Wireless Backhauling
We consider wireless backhauling for a scenario where two small-cell base stations (SC-BSs) employ the same time and frequency resources for offloading their data to a common macro-cell base station (MC-BS). The two SC-BSs allocate a part of the shared resource to exchange data in order to be able to cooperate to boost the backhaul capacity.

ABSTRACT The integration of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations with commercial aircraft communication systems presents critical challenges in maintaining continuous connectivity during dynamic flight conditions. Current geostationary satellite systems suffer from high round‐trip latency (>$$ > $$ 500 ms) and inadequate coverage at high ...

Tracking with GPS and accelerometers shows that great evening bats in subtropical China use two overwintering strategies: some remain in continuous hibernation, while others switch between torpor and activity as temperatures change. This behavioral flexibility, shaped by climate, underscores the importance of protecting diverse roosting habitats for ...

Resource Efficient Allocation and RRH Placement for Backhaul of Moving Small Cells
Mobile users suffer from deteriorating signal quality due to vehicle penetration losses. To solve this, small cells are deployed within the vehicles to improve the Quality of Service (QoS). These small cells called moving small cell access points (MSAPs),
