Electromagnetically Induced Coherent Backscattering [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2006
We demonstrate a strong coherent backward wave oscillation using forward propagating fields only. This is achieved by applying laser fields to an ultra-dispersive medium with proper chosen detunings to excite a molecular vibrational coherence that corresponds to a backward propagating wave.

Dynamic Coherent Backscattering Mirror [PDF]

open access: yesCLEO: 2013, 2013
The phase of multiply scattered light has recently attracted considerable interest. Coherent backscattering is a striking phenomenon of multiple scattered light in which the coherence of light survives multiple scattering in a random medium and is observable in the direction space as an enhancement of the intensity of backscattered light within a cone ...

A near real-time algorithm for flood detection in urban and rural areas using high resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar images [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A near real-time flood detection algorithm giving a synoptic overview of the extent of flooding in both urban and rural areas, and capable of working during night-time and day-time even if cloud was present, could be a useful tool for operational flood ...

Anisotropic enhanced backscattering induced by anisotropic diffusion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The enhanced backscattering cone displaying a strong anisotropy from a material with anisotropic diffusion is reported. The constructive interference of the wave is preserved in the helicity preserving polarization channel and completely lost in the ...
