Oxygen uptake kinetics and ventilatory and metabolic parameters do not differ between moderate‐intensity front crawl and breaststroke swimming

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 10, Issue 12, June 2022., 2022
The contribution to propulsion from the arms and legs differs between front crawl (FC) and breaststroke (BR) swimming. VO2 kinetics are similar during constant velocity moderate‐intensity FC and BR swimming exercise. Likewise, maximal and submaximal parameters of aerobic fitness are also similar between FC and BR swimming.

EVALUATION OF MISTAKES IN BACKSTROKE SWIMMING

open access: yesKinesiologia Slovenica, 2020
Purpose. We tried to determine the perceptions of experienced swimming teachers and coaches (hereinafter “experts”) regarding common mistakes in backstroke swimming. Moreover, we compared their evaluation with the evaluation of participants with no professional expertise in teaching/coaching swimming (hereinafter »non-experts«). Methods.
