Complexity in Linear Systems: A Chaotic Linear Operator on the Space of Odd 2π-Periodic Functions
Not just nonlinear systems but infinite-dimensional linear systems can exhibit complex behavior. It has long been known that twice the backward shift on the space of square-summable sequences l2 displays chaotic dynamics.

Chaotic backward shift operator on Chebyshev polynomials
We obtain the representation of the backward shift operator on Chebyshev polynomials involving a principal value (PV) integral. Twice the backward shift on the space of square-summable sequences l2 displays chaotic dynamics, thus we provide an explicit form of a chaotic operator on L2 (−1, 1, (1−x2)–1/2) using Cauchy’s PV integral.

Location‐Specific Hematoma Volume Predicts Early Neurological Deterioration in Supratentorial ICH
ABSTRACT Objective Early neurological deterioration (END) adversely affects outcomes in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This study aimed to determine the location‐specific hematoma volumes for END in supratentorial ICH patients. Methods We retrospectively analyzed supratentorial ICH patients presenting from two prospective cohorts.

Impact of Positive Lifestyle Behaviors on Direct Health Care Cost Savings for Low Back Pain
Objective This study aimed to investigate the relationship between a previously purpose‐developed lifestyle behavior scale and health care cost savings related to low back pain (LBP). Methods This longitudinal study used data from the Australian Twin Back (AUTBACK) study. LBP and lifestyle behavior measures were collected at baseline. Physical activity

Metric Semigroups and Groups of Multisets
We investigate the algebraic and topological properties of sets of complex multisets associated with Banach spaces having symmetric bases. We consider algebraic structures on the sets of multisets and compare some natural metrics on the (semi)groups of ...

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Youth With Childhood‐Onset Lupus: A Randomized Clinical Trial
Objective Our objective was to determine the feasibility and acceptability of the Treatment and Education Approach for Childhood‐Onset Lupus (TEACH), a six‐session cognitive behavioral intervention addressing depressive, fatigue, and pain symptoms, delivered remotely to individual youth with lupus by a trained interventionist.

ClimShift – A new toolbox for the detection of climate change
Climate change no longer involves and affects just a few people or communities. However, most of them need climate change detection studies to adapt to the current and future climate conditions efficiently.

Expected Utility in Models with Chaos [PDF]
In this paper, we provide a framework for calculating expected utility in models with chaotic equilibria and consequently a framework for ranking chaos.
