Bacterioplancton in different tides of the Perequê tidal creek, Pontal do Sul, Paraná, Brazil [PDF]
The influence of tidal phase on bacteria abundance in surface waters was studied in five stations along the Pereque tidal creek (Parana State, Brazil), at spring and neap low and high tides in July 1999. The stations were located from the mouth (St.1) to the creek's head (St. 5).

BACTERIOPLANCTON RESISTANCE OF THE ODESA COAST TO LEAD, CADMIUM, MERCURY
It was found that Pb and Cd levels in the Odesa coastal water exceeded their mutagenic concentrations. With use of test- strain of Salmonella typhimurium TA 98 it was shown that mutagenic activity of the water samples correlated with presence of Pb and Cd in the investigated area.
