Upper Badenian Delta in the East Slovakia Neogene Basin

56th EAEG Meeting, 1994
This paper deals with a delta system developed in the Klcov Unit of Upper Badenian age in the western part of the East Slovakian Neogene basin. The Klcov Unit has a specific lithology created by a paleo - river with high transport potential. The unit is made of continental to brackish facies passing eastwards into marine one of Upper-Badenian age ...

Badenian ostracods from Požeška gora and Papuk Mts.

2017
In our study, a rich and diverse fauna of ostracods is presented, separated from the marine Middle Miocene deposits from Požeška gora and Papuk Mts. The ostracod fauna was sampled from the Ljubin dol core, three outcrops situated at Banićevac, Lipovac and Crnka and nineteen different sampling locations from Mt. Požeška gora. Samples of Mt. Papuk belong

Carpathian-Badenian facies in the Mt. Medvednica area

2000
In the area of Čučerje, on SE flanks of the Mt. Medvednica, a geological column has been investigated in marine deposits of Carpathian and Lower Badenian age. Carpathian deposits are represented by facies of massive marls with sand interlayers, and deposits of Badenian age by horizontally bedded sands with laminated marls, trough cross-bedded ...

Badenian Tectono-sedimentary Evolution in the Moravian Part of the Vienna Basin

Proceedings, 2011
Examples of practical use of 3D seismic data for the geological and exploration purposes in the Moravian part of the Vienna basin are presented here. The attention is focused on the Badenian depositional systems, tectonics and their relations, as well as on the identification of new potential hydrocarbon traps.

Badenian marginal marine environment in the Medvednica Mt. (Croatia)

Joannea Geologie und Paläontologie, 2007
Micropaleontological features, together with sedimentological data indicate that the Upper Badenian deposits of Borovnjak were deposited in relatively turbulent near-shore marine environment with temporary oscillations of salinity. Appearance of a brackish genus Neocyprideis (Miocyprideis) in fine-grained intercalations in the central part of the ...

Badenian echinoids from the Mt. Medvednica and their ecological niches

2002
Irregular echinoids from the Badenian sediments at localities Bizek and Borovnjak in SW Mt. Medvednica were studied. Genera Clypeaster, Echinolampas, Scutella, Schizaster, Heteroclypeus and Spatangus were determined. Medium-sized to large tropical sand dollars predominate in sandstone and Lithothamnium limestone at Bizek quarry.

Stratigraphically Important Agglutinated Foraminifera in the Badenian (Miocene M4) of Poland

1990
In the Miocene sediments of the Carpathian Foredeep of southern Poland, about 60 species of agglutinated foraminifera are distinguished, 38 of which are regarded as stratigraphically important (Figure 1). The assemblages vary in stratigraphie sequence from the lower to upper Badenian (Luczkowska, 1989), and are particularly rich in the deposits ...
