Inclusion brine chemistry of the Badenian salt from Wieliczka

Journal of Geochemical Exploration, 2000
The chemical composition of brine inclusions in chevron halite from Wieliczka deposit has been determined by ultramicrochemical analyses. The data show that the brines belonged to the Na–K–Mg–Cl–SO4 type. Seawater was the main source of salt formation, and its composition was close to modern water.

Base and New Definition of the Lower Badenian and the Age of the Badenian Stratotype (Middle Miocene, Central Paratethys)

2014
A new and precisely defined timing, chronometric, and chronostratigraphic subdivision of the Badenian (middle Miocene, regional stage of Central Paratethys) is presented based on data from the classic Vienna and Styrian basins and the Alpine–Carpathian Foredeep using global events.

Badenian–Sarmatian chronostratigraphy in the Polish Carpathian Foredeep

Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology, 2012
Abstract The Miocene of the northern part of the Polish Carpathian Foredeep contains a record of events particularly important in the evolution of the Central Paratethys Basin. There, the Paratethyan Badenian Salinity Crisis resulted in the deposition of evaporite gypsum deposits of the Krzyzanowice Formation.

Badenian macrofossil assemblages from the Cepeliš locality (Banovina, Croatia)

7th Croatian Geological Congress with international participation: book of abstracts, 2023
The Banovina region is located in the southwestern Pannonian Basin and the North Croatian Basin, respectively. The first paleontological studies on this region go back to PILAR (1873). Lately, MARTINUŠ et al. (2013) provided a biostratigraphic dating and paleoenvironmental reconstruction of the Badenian carbonate deposits from Zrin locality based on ...

Badenian ostracods from Požeška gora and Papuk Mts.

2017
In our study, a rich and diverse fauna of ostracods is presented, separated from the marine Middle Miocene deposits from Požeška gora and Papuk Mts. The ostracod fauna was sampled from the Ljubin dol core, three outcrops situated at Banićevac, Lipovac and Crnka and nineteen different sampling locations from Mt. Požeška gora. Samples of Mt. Papuk belong

Upper Badenian Delta in the East Slovakia Neogene Basin

56th EAEG Meeting, 1994
This paper deals with a delta system developed in the Klcov Unit of Upper Badenian age in the western part of the East Slovakian Neogene basin. The Klcov Unit has a specific lithology created by a paleo - river with high transport potential. The unit is made of continental to brackish facies passing eastwards into marine one of Upper-Badenian age ...
