Descrição dos adultos de Camelobaetidius billi (Ephemeroptera, Baetidae) Description of the adults of Camelobaetidius billi (Ephemeroptera, Baetidae)

open access: yesIheringia: Série Zoologia, 2004
The adults of Camelobaetidius billi Thomas & Dominique, 2000 are described for the first time. They can be distinguished from the other known adults of the genus by the following combination of characters: in males, turbinate portion of the compound eyes

Assessing the Relationship Between Macroinvertebrate Metrics and Fine Sediment Index for Ecological Biomonitoring in the Little Akaki River, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol
Habitat quality had a positive correlation with percentage of Ephemeroptera, percentage of EOT, and Shannon diversity index (r = 0.833, r = 0.880, and r = 0.939, respectively). PSI had positive correlation with number of taxa, and ASPT‐ETHbios (r = 0.819, and r = 0.798, respectively). Most sites were heavily sedimented.

Responses of Macroinvertebrate Communities to Heterogeneity Among Typical Reaches in the Upper Yangtze River. [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol
This study examines how hydraulic and geomorphological heterogeneity shape benthic macroinvertebrate communities in the mountainous upper Yangtze River. Integrating field measurements with hydrodynamic modeling, it identifies distinct community patterns across canyon, anabranching, and Reef–Tuo reaches, driven by flow velocity, sediment dynamics, and ...

Mitochondrial Genome Characterization of Six Spiny Crawler Mayflies and Comparative Analysis Within Ephemerellidae (Ephemeroptera: Pannota). [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol
Ephemerellidae is a diverse family of mayflies widely distributed in the Holarctic and Oriental regions, comprising more than 300 described species. However, mitochondrial genomic data for this family remain scarce, limiting our understanding of its evolutionary history.

Ephemeropteran and Trichopteran Assemblages Vary Across a Subtropical Rainforest Altitudinal Gradient: Useful Indicators for Climate Change [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol
This figure provides the elevation distribution of Trichoptera and Ephemeroptera across the elevational gradient and clearly shows how specific morphospecies can be used as indicators. ABSTRACT The subtropical rainforests of eastern Australia are expected to be greatly affected by climate change, with several studies predicting an upward shift in ...
