Persistence Bag-of-Words for Topological Data Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Twenty-Eighth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2019
Persistent homology (PH) is a rigorous mathematical theory that provides a robust descriptor of data in the form of persistence diagrams (PDs). PDs exhibit, however, complex structure and are difficult to integrate in today's machine learning workflows.

Bag-of-Words as Target for Neural Machine Translation [PDF]

open access: yesAnnual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics, 2018
A sentence can be translated into more than one correct sentences. However, most of the existing neural machine translation models only use one of the correct translations as the targets, and the other correct sentences are punished as the incorrect ...

Bag of riemannian words for virus classification

open access: yes, 2013
The efficiency of covariance descriptors (CovDs) has been explored in several image/video categorization tasks. CovDs lie on Riemannian manifolds known as tensor manifolds.

Can Machine Learning Reduce Unnecessary Surgeries? A Retrospective Analysis Using Threshold Optimization to Prevent Negative Appendectomies in Adults

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Threshold‐optimized machine learning models using routine clinical and laboratory data in 623 adults undergoing appendectomy. Logistic regression (AUC = 0.765) and random forest (AUC = 0.785) were the best‐performing models for appendicitis detection and complicated appendicitis prediction, respectively.

Interactive Prompt‐Guided Robotic Grasping for Arbitrary Objects Based on Promptable Segment Anything Model and Force‐Closure Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
A laser pointer‐guided robotic grasping method for arbitrary objects based on promptable segment anything model and force‐closure analysis is presented. Grasp generation methods based on force‐closure analysis can calculate the optimal grasps for objects through their appearances. However, the limited visual perception ability makes robots difficult to

Spatial Pyramid Bag of Words Algorithm Based on Persistent Homology [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
To address the mismatch between the output form of topological features extracted from persistent homology and the common input form of machine learning algorithms, this paper proposes a new algorithmic framework-Spatial Pyramid Bag of Words Algorithm ...

Product Design Development of Three-In-One Tote Bag Using The Kansei Engineering Method

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah SINERGI, 2022
The existing tote bag designs are often open at the top and vulnerable to pickpockets. Straps cannot be adjusted in length. Narrow straps, size, and the weight of their bags are causing pain.
