Mefenpyr-diethyl as a safener for haloxyfop-methyl in bahiagrass
Mefenpyr-diethyl is a foliar-acting safener of the pyrazoline chemical group, and after its absorption, the metabolization and detoxification of herbicides occur in treated plants.

Abstract Bermudagrass is a summer forage crop with high nitrogen (N) demand. Introducing winter cover crops may sustain bermudagrass yields with less fertilizer, reducing environmental N losses. Field trials and lab incubation were carried out to evaluate the effects of white clover (Trifolium repens L.) and ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) as winter ...

Seasonal Change of Bahiagrass Tiller Under Different Nitrogen Fertilizer Rate and Cutting Height [PDF]
Seasonal change of bahiagrass tiller under different nitrogen fertilizer rate and cutting height was investigated over a 4-year period. Tiller dynamics were examined using a tagging technique, with treatments of two nitrogen rates [5 g N/m2 /year (LN ...

Alternative approaches to turf systems: A review of pollinator‐friendly lawns
Abstract The global decline of pollinators, driven primarily by habitat loss due to urbanization and agricultural expansion, poses significant risks to biodiversity and food security. Turfgrass lawns, which dominate urban and suburban landscapes, offer a largely untapped opportunity to mitigate these declines by adopting pollinator‐friendly management ...

Sugarcane is poised to become a key bioenergy crop in the Southeastern United States, where its expansion may replace pasturelands. Our findings show that such land‐use transitions may incur significant carbon losses—beyond harvest or fire removals—led by rapid mineralization of legacy biomass and soil carbon upon conversion.

Biology, Ecology, Distribution and Management of Large Crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis)
ABSTRACT Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop. (large crabgrass) is a globally distributed annual C4 grass and one of the most challenging weeds in agriculture, causing significant yield losses in crops such as maize, soyabean, rice, cotton and vegetables. This species thrives under favourable and unfavourable conditions such as disturbed soils, fluctuating
