A Conserved Isoleucine Gates the Diffusion of CO and O2 to the Active Site of NiFe CO‐Dehydrogenase
A combination of protein film electrochemistry and site‐directed mutagenesis shows that isoleucine 563 (numbering of Thermococcus sp. AM4) gates the arrival of both CO and O2 to the active site of the nickel‐iron CO dehydrogenases. Mutations at this position increase the resistance to O2 at the cost of a slower reaction with CO.

Background: Bifurcation lesions account for 15–20% of interventions carried out in a catheterization laboratory. Several techniques have been described for treating bifurcation lesions of which culotte and T-stenting and protrusion(TAP) are commonly used.

Encapsulation of solid–liquid barocalorics (BC) within MOFs harnesses their colossal BC performance whilst allowing active control of BC properties through BC‐MOF interactions. ABSTRACT Barocaloric (BC) effects at liquid–vapor transitions in hydrofluorocarbons drive most commercial technologies used for heating and cooling in the heating, ventilation ...

Optimal Bail-Out Dividend Problem with Transaction Cost and Capital Injection Constraint
We consider the optimal bail-out dividend problem with fixed transaction cost for a Lévy risk model with a constraint on the expected present value of injected capital.

Phosphorus‐rich MgP4 is introduced as a high capacity anode for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) via hybrid carbon matrix engineering. A sequential CNT/G assembly forms a conductive and mechanically robust network, delivering a high reversible capacity of 1386 mAh g−1 while stabilizing alloying reactions.

Controlled Pt–Pt fine structure in square‐planar Pt(II) complexes governs metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MMLCT) state formation, exciton dynamics, and organic light‐emitting diode performance. Short Pt–Pt contacts in Pt(fppz)2 enable coherent metal–metal coupling, sub‐microsecond emission and an external quantum efficiency of 29%, whereas ...

The conundrum of Greece and the Eurozone: Puzzles, paradoxes and contradictions [PDF]
This paper examines three questions regarding the controversial relationship between Greece and the eurozone during the current crisis. First, why was Greece “bailed-out” in 2010? Second, why the Greek economy collapsed despite the largest “bail-

Pressure treatment activates and retains bright blue emission in melamine (MA). The pressure‐modified hydrogen‐bonding network and molecular packing create a distinct local environment after decompression, changing the balance among competing excited‐state relaxation pathways and enabling retained emission.
