Steel–Steel Laminates Manufactured via Accumulative Roll Bonding
This review focuses on accumulative roll bonding (ARB) of high‐alloy steels, highlighting their superior mechanical properties among laminated metal composites (LMCs). It covers high‐strength steels, LMC history, roll bonding mechanisms, ARB methodology, variable parameters, steel–steel laminates’ properties, toughening mechanisms, twinning‐ and ...

Hydrogen Induced Crack Development in Submerged Arc Welded Steel Pipes
The current work examines hydrogen sensitivity in different pipeline steels (X65, X70 and X80 HSLA grades) from four productions. Hydrogen Induced Cracking (HIC) experiments were performed and then the welds were characterized via optical and scanning ...

In this study, OpenPhase software is used to simulate low‐carbon bainitic steels. The lower holding temperature sample exhibits smaller and finer grains. Grain thickness measurements of bainitic ferrite from simulations align with the experimental observations at high temperature. Bainitic steels are extensively utilized across various sectors, such as

Our manuscript focuses on the correlation between nanohardness, microhardness, and macroscopic tensile strength—an area of increasing industrial demand, especially considering advent to miniaturization of all electronic components and non‐destructive testing. The material selected for this study stems from the microelectronic industry's pursuit of lead‐

Assessing the Very High Cycle Fatigue Behavior and Frequency Effect of Structural Steel Welds
ABSTRACT The very high cycle fatigue behavior of S275J2+N flux‐core arc welded joints was investigated using the ultrasonic fatigue testing method at a loading frequency of 20 kHz. A bespoke specimen design featuring the weld toe was employed to more suitably represent in‐service welded joints than typical ultrasonic fatigue testing specimens.

Carbon supersaturation of ferrite in a nanocrystalline bainitic steel
The extremely slow transformation kinetics of a nanocrystalline bainitic steel allows the carbon content of the bainitic ferrite away from any carbon-enriched regions such as dislocations and boundaries to be determined by atom probe tomography as the bainite transformation progresses at 200 C. A high level of carbon, well above that expected from para-
