Design of Efficient and Mechanically Robust Anion Exchange Membrane for Water Electrolysis Achieved by Chemically Crosslinked Elastomers using Polyfluorene‐Based Conjugated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐performance SEBS‐PFB AEM is developed by crosslinking SEBS‐amine with polyfluorene‐based crosslinker containing benzene spacer. With the superior electrochemical and mechanical properties, SEBS‐PFB enabled an AEMWE single cell to achieve a high current density of 14.0 A cm−2 at 2.0 V and 80 °C in 1 m KOH, using a PtRu/C cathode and Ni2Fe anode ...

Multi‐Ion Doping Controlled CEI Formation in Structurally‐Stable High‐Energy Monoclinic‐Phase NASICON Cathodes for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates the synthesis pathway, morphological feature, and thermodynamic feasibility of entropy‐engineered NASICON cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries. Abstract Overcoming the energy density limitations of sodium‐ion batteries (NIBs) requires innovative strategies to optimize cathode materials.

The US Trade Deficit, the Decline of the WTO and the Rise of Regionalism [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper argues that the growing US trade de.cit has caused the decline of the WTO and the rise of regional trade agreements. A country in de.cit prefers to retain market power against countries with a large surplus.

Determinants of China's trade balance

open access: yes, 2012
Integrating economic, political and socio-cultural considerations, this thesis identifies the key determinants of China's trade balance with a view to drawing policy implications that can assist in correcting China's excessive trade surplus. China's economic reforms and open-door policy over the past three decades have led to its fast economic growth ...

Reducing Open‐Circuit Voltage Losses in Wide‐Bandgap FAPbBr3 Perovskite Solar Cells for Continuous Unassisted Light‐Driven Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The combination of formamidinium thiocyanate and 1,3‐propane diammonium iodide for bulk and top‐surface passivation, and a ternary fullerene blend to improve energy band alignment, suppresses energy losses in wide‐bandgap FAPbBr3 perovskite solar cells.

The Dynamics of Interfacial Trap States in High‐Detectivity Near‐Infrared Photomultiplication Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photomultiplication organic photodetectors (PM OPDs) are an attractive strategy for health‐monitoring. Here, PM‐OPDs are reported with a specific detectivity of 5.7 × 1012 Jones and external quantum efficiency values of 3500% under −10 V. The dynamics of carrier trapping in these devices are elucidated through trap selective spectroscopical techniques.
